Resizing changes width and height; compression mainly reduces file size. Open Image Compressor.

Privacy

Your image is processed only in this browser. No file is sent to our servers.

How to use Image Resizer

  1. Select JPG, PNG, or WebP.
  2. Enter width and height or use percentage; keep aspect ratio to calculate the other dimension.
  3. Choose format and quality where applicable, resize, and download.

Preserved aspect ratio example

Load 1600 x 900 px, keep aspect ratio, and enter width 800 px.

1600 x 900 px -> 800 x 450 px

Height is calculated from the original ratio and output uses the chosen format.

Use cases

  • Prepare specific dimensions.
  • Create 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% versions.
  • Convert between JPG, PNG, and WebP.

Notes and limitations

  • It accepts one JPG, PNG, or WebP image and uses canvas in the browser.
  • Width and height must be whole numbers above zero: up to 8192 px per side and 40 million pixels total.
  • With Keep aspect ratio, changing one dimension calculates the other; without it the image can distort.
  • Output can keep format or use JPG, PNG, or WebP. JPG gets a white background; transparency, metadata, and details can change and loss can occur.
